On the 22nd of March, 2014, at Lao Securities Exchange Building, the event of Investment Gateway 2014 (IG 2014) was held in a cooperation between Lao Securities Exchange (LSX), Lao Securities Commission Office (LSCO), EDL-GEN Public Company, BCEL, Lanexang Securities Public Company, BCEL-KT Securities Company Ltd., APM(Lao) Securities Company Ltd., Lao-World Public Company and Lao-China Securities Company Ltd.,. The event aimed at enhancing the perception of capital market to the public particularly the students from the educational institutions around Vientiane Capital in order to persuade them to aware of the importance of the development of Lao Capital Market. Furthermore, this event was organized to tighten the fine friendly relationship amongst LSX, listed companies, securities companies and the companies where they have the reveal strength to be listed on LSX in the future as well as to promote them to be well-known in the Lao society. Apart from this, it was also held for the purpose of the celebration of the 3rd anniversary of 1st trading day of LSX.
Assoc. Prof. Dethphouvang MOULARAT, Chairman and CEO of LSX, was honorable in giving an opening remark in the opening ceremony which was attended by Madam Vatthana Dalaloy, Secretary General of Lao Securities Commission Office, Mr. TaeJoo CHOI, Vice Chairman and COO of LSX and Dr. Akom PRASEUTH, Director of Micro Financial Institution Supervision Department and BOD member of LSX, as well as other guests from related organizations. In the event, there were plenty of interesting activities arranged to welcome all of the participants. LSX co-worked with 22 participating companies to prepare the colorful booths in order to exhibit and promote their products and services. Additionally, the seminars on the topics regarding to saving, financial statement analysis and stock investment were provided to the interested participants as well. Moreover, LSX and other participating companies also created funny games and souvenirs in order to make the event more lively and made the attendees in the amount of 1,300 people enjoyable and receive the knowledge on capital market easily.
